HAVING A SUPERPOWER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ABILITY TO FLY OR JUMP, OR SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH. THE TRUEST SUPERPOWERS ARE THE ONES WE ALL POSSESS: WILLPOWER, INTEGRITY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, COURAGE.
* Makerspace *
are happening in our library!
What is Makerspace? It is a hands-on/technology set of activities designed to foster 21st century skills in our students. The skills we focus on are communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. In grades 3rd through 5th, makerspace is a once-per-week lesson time filled with activities directly related to the 21st century skills. The middle school makerspace is a 6th grade assigned elective five days per week during the spring semester.
On the sidebar of this page there are links to photos of 3rd-6th grade makerspace activities. There are also some coding links. As always, students should only use online links with parent/teacher permission and supervision.
