Second Grade
October Reflection Questions
October 08, 2022
Introduction & Chapter 1
- Do I want God to transform me? If so, what areas of my life do I want to see Him transform? Do I have any fears in this regard? If I don't yet want transformation, am I willing to ask for the desire for it in prayer? Set aside a time of prayer/journaling and name any fears or anything holding you back during this time.
- What do I think of the insights shared about pride and humility? Is this different from how I previously viewed pride and humility? How?
- Who is my ‘false self’? How do I react when others expose my sin & weakness? How can I allow Jesus into these moments so that they lead me to greater humility?
Also see Reflection Questions in the book on p.14:
- In what ways are you like Simon, the woman, and Jesus? Be specific.
- Do you see any evidence of your heart being hardened? Explain.
- How can you tell when your faith practices are superstitious rather than genuine encounters with Jesus?
